2. Thursday - You are invited to OCA’s virtual Board meeting

Join the OCA Board, volunteers and other neighbours at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at our regular Board meeting. 3. Ongoing pop-up vaccine clinics in our neighbourhood

Ottawa Public Health is continuing to run pop-up vaccine clinics in high priority neighbourhoods including Overbrook McArthur, Vanier and Manor Park. They are currently inviting adults receiving home health care and anyone aged 50 to 59 and older to call 613-691-5505 to confirm your eligibility and make an appointment.

Residents aged 60 and older can also book online using the provincial booking tool.

4. AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine available to people aged 40 and older

The Government of Ontario has announced that, starting April 20, 2021, select pharmacies across the province are booking appointments for AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines for eligible people ages 40 or older in 2021.

You must have an appointment to get vaccinated at a participating pharmacy. Visit https://covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations to find a participating pharmacy near you along with the contact information to book an appointment.

As of April 19, the vaccine location website shows 20 participating pharmacies near the K1K postal area, including the pharmacy at Loblaws Vanier (100 McArthur); Shoppers Drug Marts at Montreal Rd near St. Laurent, the St Laurent Shopping Centre, Alta Vista near Industrial, and 322 Rideau St (east of King Edward); and Walmart at the Trainyards.
