OCA joined the other Ward 13 and Vanier Community Associations in a July 19 letter to the Mayor and City Councillors urging them to support the request by the Federation of Citizens’ Associations to extend the timeline between the release of the New Official Plan in August and its consideration by Planning Committee on September 13th to 15th, 2021.
The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for Thursday, September 9. All residents are welcome. More information on the agenda and meeting coordinates will be posted in a future bulletin and on the OCA Documents page.

The City’s Anti-racism Secretariat has begun the second phase of its work with new virtual public engagement sessions starting next week. The sessions - including one for community partners as recommended by OCA during a discussion with Anti-racism Secretariat staff at our last Board meeting - will be hosted for all residents, including diverse communities of racialized residents, to plan targeted actions and inform the six priority areas identified in past consultations – employment equity, housing, governance, economic development, health outcomes and youth development.
Residents can also provide feedback in a survey open until Saturday, July 31, 2021.
