1. Ward boundary appeal: can you help with a donation?

The OCA Board is launching an appeal against the new City bylaw (passed Jan 27), which moves the ward boundary between Overbrook and Vanier, south to Donald Street. As described in the latest issue of ConneXions newspaper (now being delivered to residents), the bylaw follows City Council’s Dec 9 vote on city-wide ward boundary changes. Our December 7 bulletin outlines the affected streets and OCA’s objections when the change was first proposed.

Our grounds for appeal are that: i) adequate opportunity for public input was not provided, and ii) due consideration was not given to our Overbrook community of interest.

We have found a law firm to act for OCA and the appeal will be filed in early March.

If you would like to support our efforts to fight City Hall, please help by donating to our Special fundraiser and sharing the link with your neighbours!
