Rally to Support a Gun Ban, Wednesday 26 June, 9:00 am, City Hall

Join Rideau-Rockcliffe Councillor Rawlson King and other members of the community for a rally in front of City Hall (110 Laurier) on Wednesday, June 26th at 9:00 AM just before City Council.

The rally will be in support of Councillor King’s motion to, among other things, call for a ban on handguns in the City. The motion also calls for more investments into social services, community policing and measures to combat illegal gun ownership to get the root of gun crime and gun violence.

New Official Plan

We have an opportunity to prepare for the future with a brand new Official Plan: the strategic document that guides our city’s growth and development. The plan impacts how and where the city will grow around us, now and for years to come. It establishes a policy framework that will inform the shape of the communities where you live, work and play. The scope of the plan may reach as far as the middle of this century and will affect generations to come.

What’s important to you about your neighbourhood?  How can we make the city better? Participate in the City’s online feedback form until May 31, 2019.
