Add your voice: Improving Overbrook’s 4 Corners (Lola St at Queen Mary St), December 4, 6:30 pm, Lorenzo’s Pizzeria

After two shootings within the past year at Queen Mary and Lola, many Overbrook residents are calling for action. OCA has been working with Councillor Tobi Nussbaum to advocate for changes that can help make the “4 Corners” safer, more attractive and a welcoming place for the whole neighbourhood. Councillor Nussbaum is hosting a meeting to seek community feedback on proposals to enhance the intersection at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, December 4 at Lorenzo’s Pizzeria. CBC: “Daylight shootings worry Overbrook residents”

CBC videojournalist, Matthew Kupfer, came to OCA’s AGM last week to follow up on the November 8 shooting at Queen Mary and Lola Streets. He talked to residents, OCA board members and Councillor Tobi Nussbaum about safety concerns and what more can be done.
