1.  “GARDENING 101”  – everything that you need to know about growing food.  
DATE:   Thursday, May 9th   TIME:   6:30 to 8 p.m.           COST :  Free for members  PLACE:  Overbrook Community Centre,  33 Quill Street Master Gardener and workshop leader is Tom Marcantonio. 
 
2.   OVERBROOK GARDENS CLEAN-UP:  – for new and returning gardeners  DATE:   SATURDAY, MAY 11   TIME:   11 A.M. TO 2 P.M.   PLACE:  Meet us at the garden shed. This is an opportunity to prepare your box and to learn more about our maintenance. 
 
3. PLANT SALE:  purchase new plants for your garden /open to everyone! DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 31   TIME:   6 TO 8 P.M.   PLACE:   OVERBROOK COMMUNITY GARDEN SITE,    EDITH STREET/QUEEN MARY ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE OVERBROOK COMMUNITY GARDENS.

Free food tasting by Ottawa Health Dept., with recipes, and Ottawa Library Bookmobile services for all!   Please join us and bring your friends!!

2. Loblaws Canning and Jarring Workshop- Your Guide to Food Preserving

Date:  Monday, September 19

Time:   6 to 8 p.m.

Place:  Loblaws Vanier Market, McArthur Avenue at Vanier Pkwy.

Featuring ….Tasting and light snack   -2 Preserving recipes -1 Jar of each recipe to take  Home.  Bring your own garden vegetables to preserve!

Cost:   $10.00
