Cap off the summer by gathering with your friends at the baseball stadium this Saturday starting at 6 pm!

There will be

  • a BBQ and drinks in the picnic zone down third base line
  • a chance to meet fellow OCA members and hear about our upcoming Overbrook the Musical
  • the Champions game against Sussex County Miners
  • fireworks following the game

Overbrook – Get Ready to Dance

If you’re driving through Overbrook and happen to see someone breaking into song and dance — don’t be alarmed.

The Ovebrook community is coming together this year to write, produce and perform a musical about the neighbourhood. Part of their own way of celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday, but specifically showcasing Overbrook over the last 100 or so years.

The community is coming together this year to write, produce and perform a musical about the neighbourhood.

Part of their own way of celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday, the project will specifically showcase Overbrook over the last 100 or so years.

The aim is to have the show ready by November 2017, but as organizers Wendy Dennys and Diewke de Haen point out, there is plenty to do before the curtain rises.

OCA Annual General Meeting Thursday 19 November

All residents of Overbrook and Castle Heights are invited to join us at our Annual General Meeting, next Thursday, 19 November at 6:30 pm at the Overbrook Community Centre, 33 Quill Street at Queen Mary.

Before our program focusing on the youth in our community, the agenda will include:

  • Electing the new Board members
  • Extending our borders to include Castle Heights residents
  • Confirming the community’s desire to be designated a  Mature Neighbourhood (thus subject to Infill I bylaws)
  • Providing an update on laneways
