The Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre has partnered with ambiSHEous to deliver a free, 2-day workshop on August 12th and 13th for girls between the grades of 7-12 who are curious in learning more about what it takes to pursue a career in entrepreneurship and being a leader of social change! Throughout the workshop the girls will work together on creating their own business or social enterprise with the support of local female mentors. ambiSHEous is a leadership training and career development initiative that uses a unique curriculum to prepare and empower a new generation of young female leaders. amibiSHEous has been running workshops successfully for the past 5 years in three Canadian cities, and Rideau-Rockcliffe proudly ran one of their first pilot programs in 2015.
The workshop is on Monday August 12th to Tuesday August 13th from 9 am-4pm located at our Youth Business Incubator at 815 St. Laurent Blvd. Lunch and snacks will be provided, however they do have access to a fridge and microwave if girls want to bring their own food due to dietary restrictions.
You can contact Riyaz Basi (613-745-0073 ext. 145 or firstname.lastname@example.org) for further questions. Please see the two posters below that outline in more detail ambiSHEous and the information for our August workshop and how to apply.
Applications accepted until August 5th.
