A recent article in the Ottawa Community News acknowledges the hard work that Wendy Dennys and Joanne Lockyer have put into organizing the 6th annual Overbrook Community Garage Sale.
The article notes: “A fundraising effort for the Overbrook Community Association, the sale takes place throughout the community as well as at the Overbrook Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.” on May 14.
“Residents can either hold their own garage sale or participate in the group sale at the Centre at 33 Quill St. Tables are available for rent for $20. Residents who are not able to participate can leave small donations marked “OCA” for the sale at the end of their driveways by 8 a.m.”
As part of the events, that article also notes that the Association is “hosting its spring clean up, beginning at 10 a.m. Residents are asked to meet at the Overbrook Park, where they can stay to clean that park, or collect cleaning equipment and pick a road or another park to clean up.”
The article notes that hot dogs and popcorn for $2.50 will be for sale at the Community Centre during the event, with proceeds also going to the association’s fundraising efforts. To register for the garage sale or to find out more information, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
