“It’s not just a police issue. It’s not just a city issue. It’s a community issue. To truly address the issue of guns and gangs in our community, we need a multifaceted solution that can address the broader social factors at play. The Ottawa Police Service is committed to working with community partners such as Crime Prevention Ottawa, the Youth Services Bureau, and Ottawa Community Housing to strengthen our strategies for addressing youth and gangs”.

Ottawa Police Chief Charles Bordeleau
