Welcome to Overbrook Community Association’s new website!

With this new site, the Overbrook Community Association (formerly known as the Community Council of Overbrook) is dedicated to improving online communication with those who live in Overbrook, located just minutes from the downtown core of our Nation’s Capital, Ottawa, Canada.

Over time, we plan to develop the site to reflect the diversity of this amazing community. At this point in Overbrook’s history — with social housing, transportation, and intensification issues directly affecting our area — the voices and opinions of all Overbrook citizens is vital.

Join the conversations and receive information by inputting your email address below. A representative of the OCA will contact you with a personal note of welcome.

Also, pass the link on to your friends and neighbours in Overbrook. Overbrook matters …. every voice counts!

If you are an Overbrook resident and would like to register with the OCA, you can do so on the site by going to the Membership Information tab and following the instructions.

Look forward to hearing from you,

I wonder how interested our community members are in the development of a Community Swimming Pool for children and adults at the Overbrook Park. The park is large enough to accomadate such a venture, and citizens certainly are looking for healthy outdoor activities during the summer months. The pool could have poolside lounge chairs, and unbrellas to shade the residents from too much solar exposure since the trees have all been clear cut.

We should develop a survey to see who would be interested, and distribute the flyers through Flyer Force.

The Ottawa Police Service is establishing a new Youth Advisory Committee to work with youth in the community, who would like to participate by contributing their ideas and suggestions on what they would like to see in their neighbourhoods.

Why not apply by writing to the police department and tell them how much you would like to be part of the new community youth group.

You can send your letter of interest to ottawapolice.ca/yac

They will accept applications until March 23, 2012.

There are many perks, including fun and learning.

      Hi Carol,
Thanks so much for your posts. It is early days with our website and few people are visiting. Do I have your permission to turn your comment into a bulk email?
